At KT Global School, we incorporate Design Thinking Activities for students across subjects and grades. These age-appropriate activities are meticulously planned, seamlessly integrated, and bring the Design Thinking approach to life. Here’s how:
Empathy Building Activities
Role-plays, interviews, case studies, and social visits to understand the problems and perspectives of others. For example- We organize visits to old-age homes, soldiers' camps, etc. where students can closely watch and understand their routine, lifestyle, and challenges.
Creative Workshops
Brainstorming sessions and innovation labs encourage students to think out of the box and come up with creative solutions to a problem without the fear of failure or judgment.
Prototyping and Testing
Students engage in project-based learning where they work collaboratively to create prototypes using tools ranging from simple craft supplies and Lego blocks to digital platforms. They test these solutions, gather feedback, and refine their designs through iterative learning.
Real-World Application
Through an interdisciplinary approach combining different subjects (STREAM) students gain a holistic approach to the problems and can address real-world challenges. For example, Students at KTGS are professionally trained in Apiculture where they learn everything from beekeeping, extraction of honey, and then branding, packaging, and marketing integrating concepts from science, maths, and business studies.
